Do I have to be a professional artist?

No.

We have professional artists within our community of course, but a vast majority of our creative community are part-time artists, passionate hobbyists and even 'create when we have a chance' folks too.

 

Do I need to live or work in The Gap?

Yes.  

As The Gap Creative's vision is to be renowned for fostering and supporting a creative community. Living or working in the community is central to our aim.

It is hoped that in the future, we can look at other ways to expand, but at this stage we are focused on artists and creatives that live or work in The Gap.

What's in it for me?

 Membership provides you with the opportunity to draw upon the skills and resources of other local Gap creatives and businesses as you embark on your creative journey. Some of our membership benefits include:

• gaining support from a diverse team of professionals and artists

• learning from others e.g. how to run a workshop or an exhibition, access to ready-made exhibition spaces, opportunities to exhibit your work, guidance from

• workshops to teach or share your skills

• collaborating with other artists

• working towards specific arts events
