Robert Whyte

Tell us a bit about your art practice/process?

Robert Whyte has a Graduate Diploma in Professional Art Studies, University of Western Sydney, 1981. He is director of ToadShow Pty Ltd, a creative development company he co-founded in 1986. Rob’s skills encompass writing and editing, graphic and interface design, multimedia, visual art and photography.


What experience or expertise do you have outside Visual Arts?
In 2017 Robert co-authored A Field Guide to Spiders of Australia. In 2019 he co-edited Eccentric Voices: A cultural scrapbook of Brisbane 1965-1995. His interests include fauna, flora, geology, entomology, arachnology, botany, landcare, biodiversity and environmental management.


Since retiring from full-time work in 2019 Rob has renewed his interest in visual art.
