Kelly Meyer

s a child, I loved exploring – A beach was disappointing unless it had rock pools to explore, shells to collect. I would peer at flowers growing through cracks in the footpath, or study moss on rocks after rain.

Many years, and a career as a Landscape Architect turned Graphic Designer later, I was inspired wandering a vegetable garden when I spotted a Leek flower.

Previously unaware vegetables produced such vibrant flowers, an idea was sparked.

Armed with the pen tool in Illustrator I drew every curve, one by one, to produce a series of supersized botanical limited edition prints.

We asked Kelly:
"What memorable responses have you had to your work?"

Every time someone chooses to purchase one of my prints to hang in their home is
memorable. It’s true what they say ‘when you buy from a small business an actual person does a little happy dance’.
